Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav
Van Mahotsav (28th July 2021)
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi celebrated ‘Van Mahotsav’ as part of the celebrations of 75 years of India’s Independence – ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’. As per notifications issued by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, all educational institutions were advised to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ by organizing various events like conferences, seminars, symposiums, essay competitions, and related activities on their campuses throughout the year. As per the monthly schedule, institutions were advised to celebrate Van Mahotsav in July 2021. In this endeavor, the college celebrated Van Mahotsav on 28th July 2021 by distributing saplings to teaching and non-teaching staff. A plantation drive was also carried out on the campus where around 20 plants were planted.
NCC cadets, Gardening Committee members, and both teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated in the event to ensure its success.
